We are having a backyard party. Before we get started we need to think about the invitation and party essentials. This special day can be a summer BBQ, a family gathering for celebrating Father’s Day or a summer holiday. A celebration for Independence Day (North American’s 4th of July)! Maybe it is a surprise birthday party and keeping it simple with an outdoor barbecue. A picnic in the backyard does not have to be for any special occasion at all. It is the time to enjoy the day with the sun shining brightly and relax in a comfortable outdoor chair. Grilling hamburgers, hot dogs or even a nice juicy steak, or for the vegetarians, grilled vegetables on a kabob. Sipping on strawberry smoothies made from the garden berries or for those who drink alcohol, a wine cooler or a favorite beer. A beverage of your choice will top off the thirst of a hot summer day.

If the decision is to have a party at a public park, then everyone who wants to can enjoy a game of baseball or softball. Maybe someone brought a football or soccer ball; perhaps there is a tennis court or a golf course.

Creating a Check List

Just what would be the needed to make this outdoor party complete?

 First, the invitations needs to be sent out to those friends and family.
 Second, make a list of the food and drinks. Make sure that there will be plenty for the group. Let those know they need to bring a dish, if that is your plan.
 Third, decide if you plan on having music and a live band, make sure that it is within your budget. And if it happens to be in your yard, be sure to invite the neighbors, so they will not complain about the noise. Keep it a little more simple, a radio or computer with a personalized image on a speaker to amplify the sound works nice and found on Zazzle.

We have had a few Weber Charcoal Grills. Love the charcoal taste to food when cooking out. Some day we may buy a gas grill but it really does taste better with charcoal. Weber is a well-known brand that has high-quality products.

Good Company and Fun

Basically, what completes a party as far as I am concern is being with good company. Friends and family that enjoy sharing stories and having some laughs, playing cards and outdoor games and best of all…the picnic style food.
