Dogs Love That Crinkle Crinkle!

I was over at my nieces house this past weekend. We were sitting at the kitchen table and I noticed her chocolate lab was out in the yard tossing and pouncing on some kind of toy. He seemed to be having big fun. This went on for quite some time when I finally asked her what the dog was playing with that he seemed so crazy about.

She got up and opened the door wall and called to Bailey. The big guy grabbed his toy and came trotting into the kitchen. It looked like some kind of fuzzy stuffed animal, but when he dropped it and started chomping on it and pawing it, it made a crinkling noise. It was not the kind of noise I had ever heard coming from a dog toy, so I was intrigued. The noise seemed to egg the dog on to play.

I asked her what toy it was. She laughed and said, it was a good thing she had another, as the getting that one away from Bailey would be very difficult, not to mention it was covered in dog slobber. I laughed as she went to the cupboard and pulled out a cute, plush, pink pig. She handed it to me and I squeezed it. It made no crinkling noise.. I looked up at her, puzzled, and she picked up an empty water bottle and slipped it in the end of the toy and closed it up. She then squeezed the toy and the water bottle made the crinkling noise.

The dog heard the noise and came running over and bouncing around, wanting to play. She said that she had seen one at the dog park and Bailey loved it so much she bought a couple off Amazon and he had been playing with them ever since.

I was pretty impressed. I don’t have any dogs, but the holidays are coming and I have several friends and relatives that have dogs. They are like my foster dogs, so I always get them gifts for Christmas. You can bet a few of these Bottle Buddy Toys will be a among those gifts.
