Christmas Books for Kids – Books Kids love to read

Whether you are a librarian or school-teacher or just a Mom or Dad you probably think kids need to read more books.

I mean isn’t it good for them? And how about the videos and all those distractions that are more passive?

But what you may be amazed to know is that kids really love to read if given the chance and environment to do so. When I was student teaching, I was amazed to find out that kids would choose a day of stop and read if given the opportunity. There were all kinds of names for it D.E.A.R – Drop Everything and Read comes to mind.

And no time is better to encourage children’s love of reading than Christmas time.

Along with the buggy lights, crane diggers and bloop balls – I really encourage you to consider giving a Christmas book to your kids – and I have found some great ones for you to give.

Or you can read them yourselves!

Christmas books for kids are great for all ages.

Christmas Carol: A Popup Book

One of the best Christmas books for kids is the Dickens classic but made for them.

This keepsake book for kids over 6 is a way to bring the classics into their lives.

Here not only do we see the text, but we see the script acted out in beautiful pop-up scenes of the tales of Scrooge, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The pop-up art of Dickens is beautifully rendered through the art of Charles Fischer and the paper engineering of Bruce Foster.

Your child will receive the entire Christmas carol – but in five removable booklets that they can handle easily and enjoy. This hardcover book is a real treasure.
