Close Enough to Hear God Breathe
Close Enough to Hear God Breathe
Close Enough to Hear God Breathe by Greg Paul, a Minister who works in Toronto at The Sanctuary, a place that helps prostitutes, addicts, gays, alcoholics, and the homeless. He uses things that have happened in his family life and his ministry to write about hearing God’s voice or breath.
I think most of us want to hear God’s plans for our life. Greg Paul says God loves us like we love our own children. I think God loves us in a much deeper way than we love our children. I want to hear what God has to say. I want to know that He is really there and listening to me.
He breaks down his book into (1) The heart of the matter, (2) Creation, (3) The fall,(4) redemption, (5) consummation. He uses scriptures from the Bible to bring out his points, like the lost sheep, lost coin, prodigal son to show God’s love. He tells of young addicts who die and their families they had not seen for years came because they loved him. Greg Paul and his father had had a falling out and gone years that he did not feel his dad loved him until he realized that his dad may not have told him with words but told him with actions.
I received this book from booksneeze.com free to read and review. Opinions are my own. I found this book difficult to get into and did not agree with how he tried to prove his point.
