Clothes Drying Rack for Small Spaces
Laundry Dryer Racks That Won’t Take Up Space in Your Home
Air drying laundry can be such a chore, especially when you have limited space in your home. We all have clothes that are too delicate to put through the electric or gas clothes dryer. The best way to let such clothes dry is to use a clothes drying rack for small spaces. This will not only save energy but also extend the life of your clothing.
Here are some racks that are suitable for use in homes or apartments. What I like about these is that most of them can be folded to save on storage space.

The Honey-Can-Do Dry-01610 Heavy Duty Gullwing Drying Rack is a great one to use in your home. Each of the rack’s wings contains dividers so that your wet clothes don’t touch each other during the drying process. Their height is adjustable so long dresses and coats can be dried as well. The mesh shelf in the center works well for drying sweaters. You can also put a pair of shoes on each side of the rack in order to dry them. I liked this one as I can use it outdoors during our hot Texas summer just as easily as I can use it indoors. Its light in weight and can be folded to store under a bed if space is an issue in the home.

These are essential for college students, especially girls, since they have delicate tops that would not withstand the high heat in the commercial dorm dryers…

To dry a large number of towels and even dress shirts you’ll want to purchase the Badoogi Foldable Heavy Duty and Compact Storage Drying Rack System. It has six shelves that you can adjust according to the height and the length of the clothes or other laundry items you are drying. The shelves are made of stainless steel and the rack comes equipped with 24 hanging rods that can handle even your heaviest clothes – upto 150 lbs. Its eight rotating wheels make it easy to move around the room when you need to. There is also a bar on the bottom of the rack where you can set pairs of shoes to dry. If you have a big family, this rack is a great choice for you. My favorite feature in this rack is the 72 clips for hang drying socks – no more lost socks!

You can even fold it up, secure it with a strap and store it in a closet. It can even fit in between your washer and dryer as it is very compact and folds to just 5 inches.

Did you know? Sunlight is a natural alternate to bleaching and disinfecting linens, baby cloth diapers and towels. These umbrella racks will keep your laundry smelling fresh without you having to use artificial fabric softeners. Put them up during warm weather and take them down during the cold winter months. Some that are small in size can be used indoors as well.
