This delightful crochet baby hat, is not only easy to make but can be made in no time at all.

There is nothing cuter than a little baby all wrapped up in their little crochet hats.

Making this an ideal crochet project for beginners. I just love making these cute baby hats, and they are in demand all the time.

This easy baby crochet hat was designed by myself one night when I was looking for a crochet project, and still dont think I found it, but we ended up with a nice pattern anyway.

I love crochet patterns that are easy to follow.

I just added  little touches to turn this into a gorgeous baby hat for a little girl, adding in the ribbon and a crochet flower.

Even if you are a beginner at crocheting you will be amazed at how addictive it becomes making these little hats, and even more fun making each one unique and different.

To make the baby crochet hat above as in the picture.

Hook Size 4.00mm(UK) G (US)

Chain 4 slip into 1st chain to make circle

Round1: DC 10 into ring slip into 1st DC.  Chain 2 (continue working around)

(always do the 1st Dc of round into base of chain st, this gives a nice shape to babyhat)

Round 2: 2DC in every next stitch around. Slip st to join. Chain 2

Round 3: *Dc into st 2DC in next* continue around Slip st to join. Chain 2

Round 4: *Dc into next 2 st 2DC in next* continue around Slip st to join. Chain 2

Round 5 – Round9  Continue to work hat in DC around, or until length desired.

finish with a Sc  for 3 rounds. (total 12 rounds)

finish off and weave in ends

Thread thin ribon around the Last round of DCs

add a Crochet Flower to finish off.

To make the baby crochet hat bigger, just add on another round of increace following pattern.

These little baby hats make delightful baby shower gifts, and for bringing baby home.
