I don’t believe that Easter should be commercialized like Christmas so the department store aisles filled with chocolate bunnies and Easter baskets do not appeal to me. The message of the resurrected Christ should be front and center during this religious holiday.

Great Kids Activity for Sunday School

The Resurrection Plant is my favorite activity for my Sunday School kids. It is a desert fern that hibernates and goes into dormancy during times of drought. But when placed in water opens up, turns green, and comes back to life. Just like Jesus at Easter.

This is absolutely the perfect activity for Christian and parochial schools for their science and geography classes as you can combine lessons of nature, ecology and geology all together with a Christian message.
