Great Summer Reading – The Beach Trees
Sometimes I am lucky enough to read a great book that stays with me. The Beach Trees was such a read. I still miss the friends I met in that book. I wanted it go on and on and on.
The Beach Trees is written by Karen White. Karen has written 16 books and a new one is on the way. I have to admit that right after I read Beach Trees, I read On Folly Beach and loved it just as much as The Beach Trees. I am so excited to have a new author on my book lists, especially one as great as Karen White.
The Beach Trees is the story of Julie Holt, who works in a New York Art Museum. Suddenly life happens and Julie finds herself with a beach house ravaged by Katrina and a little 5 year old boy under her wing.
The book moves very fast and actually is two stories in one involving two women and two hurricanes. It is a story of adjusting to life’s changes and moving on.
You won’t forget reading this one – and if I am right, we won’t forget any of Karen White’s wonderful books! I am anxious to read them all. And I hope she can write fast enough to keep up with my reading habits!
