In fact growing strawberries in hanging pots is an easy task to do on your own in just few minutes.
All you have to do to have these plants to blossom and provide you with a big harvest, is getting a hanging container (basket or pot), plants producing heart-shaped sweet fruits, suitable soil, slow release and organic fertilizer like high phosphorus liquid fertilizer.
You can choose the hanging pot that you like the most (with a preference for self watering containers if you are short on time when having a garden patch) and that fits within the area that you have selected for planting the fruits. These berries need a a sunny place.
However, make sure to provide proper drainage through holes punched at the bottom and prevent the drainage of soil using saucers.
It is important to note here that the support you provide to the hanging pots should be able to bear the weight of the pot particularly when the plant is being watered. I had to buy a new one and repot everything. Luckily, strawberries are really easy to pot, grow and harvest.
