All themed parties are going to start with some basic things you will want to know in order to make your party a huge success with your guests.
1) Come up with your theme. I have put together a list of some of what I think make the best themed parties that I could find on the internet. You of course can come up with your own and it will be even better
2) Create your lists… yes lists! You need a Food list, themed items list (napkins, plates, decorations, etc.), guest list, preparation list (what is your time frame for everything from planning to cooking), these lists will help you stay orgainzed and make sure that your party is a huge success.b
3) Create your own invitations or purchase already made themed invitations. There are lots of great places on the internet where you can send out evites.
4) Create a budget. It is very easy to get carried away with creating the perfect themed party for your loved ones.
5) Gather themed materials you will using for your party. I have found many items you may want to use and you can find some of those material at Birthday Express and you’ll get Free Shipping on orders $75 or more at BirthdayExpress.com
6) Pay attention to details check your lists, and check your lists again.
7) Keep the party flowing smoothly. You are in charge of keeping the kids busy, or making sure the adults are mingling. It is your job to hold the party together and make it a success. Hosting a party is a balancing act and you are the one they all expect to make it balance from start to finish.
8) Have a back up plan! If you are planning an outdoor party, what will you do if it rains? Plan for all worst case scenarios.
9) Enjoy your own party! What is the point of having a party if you can’t enjoy it.
10) After the party. Who is going to do the clean up? Will your guest help you? Maybe you will want to hire someone to come in and clean up for you? One thing is for sure, have plenty of large garbage bags on hand.
Nice post, I like the idea you gave about creating your own invitations. That makes the party personal and kids love that! I like your post!
