An Easy Kid-Friendly Italian Ice Recipe
Summer time is hot dogs, baseball, and cold summer treats like Italian Ice. This Italian ice recipe is an easy summer treat for the kids. What I love about this Italian ice recipe is how simple it is to make.
A lot of Italian Ice recipes are complicated and contain alcoholic drinks. This Italian ice recipe can be adjusted to any flavor your kids prefer since its made with a box of JELLO and Kool-Aid. This Italian ice recipe is not going to be as authentic as the local Italian Ice Shoppe but it is a great summer treat for the kids.
Italian Ice Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 box 4 oz JELLO, Any Flavor you like
- 1 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid, I use the same flavor as the JELLO
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cup boiling water
- 2 cup cold water
Italian Ice Recipe Instructions:
In large bowl, mix JELLO, pkg of Kool-Aid, Sugar and Boiling water. Stir with a wire whisk until dissolved. Add cold water. Place in individual serving size PAPER cups and freeze until firm (takes up to 3 hrs depending on the size of your paper cup).
