LEGO Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape | New Avengers LEGO Sets

When it comes to the new LEGO Avengers sets, the LEGO Cosmic Cube Escape is by far my favorite one released so far.

While my son and I enjoy building LEGO sets together, the real fun is simply spending time together playing with the LEGO minifigures.

We have a habit of combining ships and trucks from many sets to create our our LEGO universe where it is rather common to see Iron Man battle Ninjago while trying to rescue a Stormtrooper.

Watching my son use his imagination is worth every penny spent buying LEGOs. The mini figures also make awesome, yet inexpensive, stocking stuffers at Christmas!.

What I Like Best About this New Avengers LEGO Set

 Super Hero Iron Man

Perhaps the best thing about this set is the ultra cool LEGO Iron Man minifigure in Mark Four Armor. This is seriously one nice mini fig. It comes complete with blue colored repulsor blasts and has a double sided face (one side features an angry face and one is normal, non-angry face).

Another thing I really like about this figure is that his helmet flips up to reveal Tony Stark. It would have been much easier for LEGO to simply make it a helmet that is either on or off. I truly believe they made the right call on this one. This Iron Man LEGO minifig is also different than the one that shows up in the other LEGO The Avengers sets recently released!

Two other minifigures are also included in this set; Loki and Hawkeye. While certainly not as much fun as the Iron Man figure, they are realistically portrayed as well. Hawkeye has a double-sided face with goggles on one side and Loki comes complete with the cosmic cube and an awesome staff and helmet combo.

If you like stickers, then the truck that comes with this set is perfect for you. I, for one, would love it if they started printing on more blocks and stopped using so many stickers. My son has a fit trying to get them in the right place.

Despite the stickers, the truck is fun to play with and rolls very well. It comes with fun little flick fire missiles and can seat one mini figure in the driver’s seat while Loki directs from the back.

Overall, at approximately $20 for 181 pieces, this set provides more than enough bang for the buck to justify the price. Heck, I would probably pay $10 or $15 just for the Iron Man figure.
