Mirrorless Cameras vs DSLR
Mirrorless Camera Reviews
What is a Mirrorless Camera?
The mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera (MILC) is a class of digital system cameras. This type of camera provides an interchangeable lens mount. They do not have a mirror reflex optical viewfinder. Mirrorless cameras have the advantage of usually being lighter, more compact, faster and better for video but that comes at the cost of fewer lenses and accessories. DSLRs have the advantage in lens selection and an optical viewfinder that works better in low light, but they are more complex and bulkier.
Over the past few years a new camera has emerged with a new format. These mirrorless camera bodies are being produced from companies such as Panasonic Olympus, Sony, Fuji, Canon, and Samsung. This new camera product offers the flexibility of a DSLR, but with the size and portability of the smaller point and shoot models. The concept of the viewfinder without a mirror is not a new one. The point and shoot cameras use this system as well. The difference between a point and shoot and a mirrorless camera is that the point and shoot cameras are limited by their built in lenses, as well as by the lack of handling control over exposure. For mirrorless cameras this problem is solved. In addition to the reduction of the camera body, the lenses available for use with mirrorless cameras are also much smaller, without sacrificing image quality or durability.
There are many pros and cons to both systems of cameras, but if you are looking for a camera that is an excellent smaller sized choice and does just about everything as a DSLR, then this is the one for you. It probably would not work well with people with extra large hands though, so keep that in mind as well.

Canon
Canon
Even though Canon is a top name in digital cameras, they have not been tops with the mirrorless ones. They have introduced them later than their competitors, which has been somewhat of a negative for them.
To date they only manufacture one body type and a very limited selection of lenses. With the use of an adapter you are able to use any of the larger Canon DSLR lenses on this little camera. Canon currently has a lot less to offer on the market but they probably will catch up soon.
Features:
