Other Mom’s Homemade Chicken n Dressing Recipe
This is my grandmother’s recipe and it has been passed down from generation to generation. I have tried a lot of dressing recipes but this one is by far the best.
My grandmother has always been a great cook and a baker. This recipe though is one of her finest. The secret is moisture and that is why you add all the liquid that you add.
It seems like a lot but the more moist it is the more flavorful. This one is definitely a crowd pleaser!
First Step: Make a Lg pan of cornbread
Boil 3 chicken breast in 2 cubes of chicken bouillon until done
Boil 2 eggs set aside
Chop 3 Lg stalks of celery and one medium onion and boil in butter and 1 can of sweet sue’s chicken broth
Season with greek seasoning, garlic and sage; boil until tender set aside in liquid
Take 4 slices of white bread and crumble with Lg pan of cornbread in a very large bowl
Pour celery and onions and liquid over bread mixture and shred chicken and pour in broth
Crack 3 eggs and add to mixture
Chop up hard boiled eggs and add to mixture
Season to taste with black pepper, garlic, greek seasoning and sage
Stir well and pour in glass baking dish bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes or until done
and ENJOY!
