Wagons
Both of my kids have always loved wagons. When my oldest son was little, he would load up his wagon with toys, dirt, leaves, sticks…basically anything he could pick up, and he would pull it all over our yard. I can’t tell you how many hours he would spend weekly doing this. Once our youngest was born, the oldest decided that people were more fun to pull. Our youngest son had his first wagon ride before he could even sit up by himself (laying down on a blanket with me right there). My youngest son is now 6 and he still loves playing with a wagon.

Wagons aren’t only great toys, they’re also great for parents to take to outdoor events, the park, and to enjoy a walk with the little ones. I used our first wagon as much as my son did.
Mud And Sand Toys
There’s just no getting around it, kids love toys they can play in the sand and mud with. I chose to feature this mud pie kitchen, because I know I would have loved it as a kid and so would both of my boys. I am considering buying it for my 6 year old for this summer even though I know he wouldn’t get many more years out of it. I just think he’d enjoy it that much.

Kids love sports related toys, so I think both of these make great outside toys for kids. Some of the best toys we’ve ever purchased have been sports related. My son had the basketball set and a similar tball set. Both toys received a lot of play time and a lot longer than I would have thought.
