My husband and I have been watching Phineas and Ferb with our kids since the series was introduced on Disney Channel. It is one of the most well-written Disney shows in a long time with an eye to appeal to both the children and the parents of the children who watch it. The show has lots of fun and imaginative adventures that even small children will enjoy, yet manages to have plenty of references that only the adults will understand.

In addition, the writers have two or three plot lines in each show that intersect and influence each other and pull of this amazing feat during each 30-minute segment. Each plot is a showcase of creativity on the part of the characters and the writers, and even though my kids are teenagers, we still love to watch it together.

Phineas and Ferb Character Stand Ups

One of the things about the Phineas and Ferb show that makes it so attractive is the creative thinking of the characters. Each episode starts out with the question “What should we do today?” Since that is the case, it makes sense that creativity should be the centerpiece of any party that you have with the Phineas and Ferb theme.

One idea is to use cardboard stand ups of the characters to direct guests to different part of the party. This stand up of Dr. Doofenschmirtz is just one of the stand ups available. You can also buy stand ups of Candace, Phineas and Ferb with Perry, and Agent P.

Creating Activity Stations Using Wall Decals

I really like wall decals because they are so easy to put up and take down. You can use them for permanent decorating in a bathroom for instance, but they are also ideal for a party. One way that you can use the wall decals is to create stations for your party. You can have a food station, several activity stations, a prize station. Really you can use your own imagination to move your guests from room to room or corner to corner and make each station come alive with wall decals. They are affordable, and when the party is over, you can take them down easily. It might be hard to convince your kids to take them down though.

Wall decals come in sets but you can break the sets apart and use them in whichever way you deem best. This one with Agent P would make a good activity station decoration.

Phineas and Ferb Party Favors

If your party will have a lot children, it is best to have some party favors to give out. You can include the favors in your activity planning as well. For instance, if the party is focused on Perry’s spy activities, you can hand out binoculars or magnifying glasses as favors. For a fun Halloween party, the guests can hunt down candy and other goodies with Perry.

Here are some ideas for a sleuthing party.

Kids can search for clues with these binoculars. Then take pictures of the clues with their cameras. Use the magnifying glass to take a closer look at clues. Sharpen their spy pencils ahead of time for use at the party. Have kids write their clues down in a notebook using their spy pencils.

2. Perry’s Adventure Story

A fun activity to do with kids or a mix of kids and adults is to create an ongoing story. Each person can come up with a sentence and keep going around the room. You would give them guidelinks as to what the story is about, then let them go turn by turn. They are funny and fun.

3. Create an Inater

Let the group come up with an inater just like Dr. Doofenschmirtz. They can create a picture of it and tell everyone what it does.

4. Mad Libs Clue Hunt

You can make up a mad libs puzzle and to find the answers kids need to go on a treasure hunt around the yard. Each place gives them a word to fill in the mad libs which then tells them what they are going to do today.

Make It a Halloween Party

If your Phineas and Ferb party is going to be a Halloween party, then it will be even more fun if the kids dress in costumes. You can give each child a character to dress up as, or they can dress however they like.

Costumes for some of the characters can be bought online, however most of the characters dress in regular clothes, so children can make their own costumes. Or they can all come as a the same character and you can have a costume parade to choose the most creative.
