The Grace of God by Andy Stanley
The Grace of God
The Grace of God is a book explaining that God’s grace has been here since the beginning of time. Andy Stanley uses the Bible to back this statement.
Grace is never just enough. Grace is always far more than enough. Grace in its purest form can have no strings attached. Grace is what everyone
wants when faced with our sins yet we find it hard to offer grace when someone has done something that caused us to lose something we considered valuable.
Grace means we get what we don’t deserve! Grace is not reserved for good people. Receiving grace is often easier than giving it. Grace is not earned; it is offered. Grace is not always “fair”. But we really would not want it to be. If you start shaving layers off of grace, it’s no longer grace. If you start adding things to grace, it’s no longer grace either.
I found The Grace of God to be a very interesting book which made me look at some things differently. We cannot earn grace. We can’t get good enough to deserve it. We need to learn to offer grace to others more frequently. It brings to mind words to a song ” Grace, grace, God’s grace is greater than all our sins.”
