Iron Man: The Armored Avenger

Back in 2008, Hollywood gave us Iron Man. Last year they gave us Iron Man 2. Both equally awesome blockbuster movies. The first movie introduced us to the martini drinking, womanizing, techno playboy Tony Stark. A genius inventor and fabricator who fashioned himself an amazing suit of armor to help destroy all the weapons he helped create that were being used for evil. The second movie saw Tony Stark being criticized and defamed for having the armor and not sharing its technology. We were also introduced to the War Machine. A special Iron Man suit that could be fitted with many extra ballistic weapons.

Both Iron Man movies were released to get us familiar with one of the founding members, and primary bank roll, of the Avengers. Iron Man was one of the first, and still is, an Avenger. The movies did an okay job of telling the story of Tony Stark as it was depicted in the pages of Marvel comics. He is a rich playboy with lots of money to do as he wishes. Sometimes it’s women, most of the time it’s technology, and most of that time it is the Iron Man suit.
