The Tingler- A Funny Horror Film Review
The Tingler-A Review
Growing up with an older brother can sometimes be fun, except for when he wants to scare the living daylights out of you! This was the case with me, my brother and the movie The Tingler.
Back in the day, there were no movies with high tech special effects or bloody shock factors. The Tingler was as good as it gets.
One night when my parents were out and my brother was babysitting me, The Tingler came on TV. Being eight years old, I was not accustomed to horror movies, but of course my brother wanted to see it. This movie about scared me half to death! Not only was it scary to watch but during the next few months, my brother continued to haunt me with memories of this movie.
I spent many years and into adulthood thinking this was the scariest movie I had ever seen.
Fast forward about 40 years, my brother was visiting for the holidays and we decided to rent The Tingler which neither of us had seen since that one evening. I have to say that I laughed hysterically throughout the film. My brother was seriously trying to enjoy the movie and did not appreciate my laughter, so maybe this was my way of getting back at him after all these years!
Try this one with a group of friends and a huge bowl of popcorn. You won’t be disappointed!
The Tingler Was A Very Scary Movie Back in the Day
Funny or Scary…You Decide
Whether you see The Tingler for the horror or a few laughs, it is definitely worth seeing, especially if you enjoy old black and white movies. Vincent Price is at his best and the cast of characters are genuine.
I love the whole creepy vibe of the movie even though I find some things funny. The Tingler is truly a classic film that opened up many doors for future horror movies.

I love horror movies that are scary but not TOO terrifying. I think this classic horror movie with Vincent Price is just the ticket. Thanks for letting me know about the Tingler!
